'Service' – another name of Capt. Shibu Isaac.
Capt. Shibu has been conferred with the ‘Best Secretary’ award by Rotary International - Dist 3230, which honours and recognizes voluntary contributions made to the society, by sharing their resources, time and expertise to bring about visible changes in the community. Recipients of this highly prestigious award should have demonstrated long term commitment to social service needs of the community and serve as role models for others to emulate.
Capt. Shibu’s contributions to the society gives a fuller understanding of what rotary stands for - to bring hope to others, make life worth living and make a difference in their community.
In this fast paced world, the rule of thumb can be described as "do good as easily as possible", resulting in a tendency to simply write a cheque. But Capt Shibu has tirelessly volunteered his time, professional expertise and talents to serve the community through various projects such as Tsunami Rehabilitation Programs (5o houses were built for the tsunami affected people at Sulerikattukuppam), Tree Plantation programs, Medical Camps, Construction of toilets for girls in schools, Child Abuse / Child Labour, etc. His commitment to help the less fortunate shines through in more ways than one. His passion and dedication to the cause is evident in this willingness to sacrifice his time for Cricket, the one he enjoys most.
Starting his career by serving the Nation as a Short Service Commissioned Officer in Indian Army to ensure a safe and secure India, he continues to serve the nation through his Company, Force 1 Guarding Services Pvt. Ltd., a Company which is committed to provide professional security service, thereby ensuring a safe and secured environment for every individual & Industry. In addition to managing this business with a strong workforce of more than 6,000 people, he still finds time to do service to mankind, through the Rotary Club of Madras and no surprise he has been conferred with this most coveted Award.
